Thin is in again

First, Sony Ericsson gave us the Walkman phone, and now a few years and a number of successful Walkman phones later, the company introduces the thinnest Walkman phone yet, the W880i.

Slated to be introduced in the first quarter of this year, the W880i has a stainless steel casing and is just 9.4mm thin (that's just about the same as a jewel CD case).

The phone comes with a 262,000 colour screen (240 x 320pixel resolution) and supports 3G networks as well as Bluetooth wireless, and all the applications that come standard with modern Sony Ericsson phones (most notably a web browser and an RSS reader) and of course the Walkman music player.

The Walkman functions include Sony's MegaBass and support for the A2DP Bluetooth profile so you can listen to music wirelessly with a pair of Bluetooth wireless headphones.
