nüvifone gets OS update
PETALING JAYA: The Garmin-Asus alliance that produced the nüvifone M20 announced that the navigator phone is now available with Windows Mobile 6.5.
All new models will feature the new operating system and existing owners of Windows Mobile 6.1 will be eligible for a free update.
Windows Mobile 6.5 comes with an enhanced user interface with touch-optimised icons and a streamlined homescreen.
It will also come preloaded with Facebook application and a wider array of programs can be downloaded from the Windows Marketplace.
New and updated models will also include My Phone service. My Phone offers features such as data migration, backup, restoration and remote data wiping.
Users can also view, sync and share pictures across mobile and PC platforms. Details on how to perform the update can be found on www.garminasus.com as of tomorrow (Nov 11).
