Creative unveils compact camcorder
PETALING JAYA:The latest Vado HD Pocket videocam from Creative is lightweight and compact enough to fit in a pocket or purse.
With just a press of a button, the camcorder captures videos in 720p high-definition quality. It supports H.264 video compression technology for keeping video files small without sacrificing quality. This format allows video files to be as much as four times smaller than ones encoded with MPEG4.
The device comes with 8GB of memory, allowing users to record up to two hours of HD Plus video (with higher compression), up to four hours of HD quality video or up to eight hours of video at VGA resolution.
With its precision-engineered glass lens, the camcorder captures sharper and clearer videos, has 2x digital zoom and works great in dim environments too, claims the company.
The wide-angle lens allows users to capture wider scenes and more action on their videos. Users can also capture snapshots in still and burst modes, and edit their movies with the built-in Vado Central software.
The device ships with a large 2in antiglare LCD monitor, and a HDMI port to connect it to a HDTV for previewing videos and images.
It also comes built-in with a flexible USB tab to allow users hook it up to a PC to post videos directly to popular websites such as YouTube and Photobucket.
