NEC rolls out eco-friendly projectors
NP 215 NEC Corporation of Malaysia Sdn Bhd has launched four digital projectors under its NP Value Series. The models are NP110, NP115, NP 210 and NP 215.
The projectors are powered by Eco technology, which extends the lamp life up to 5,000 hours (previous models offered up to 4,000 hours) and lowers power consumption to 0.71-watt in standby mode.
These features minimises the energy costs for both short and longterm usage. Also, a metre shows the reduction in the emission of carbon dioxide when running in Eco mode.
These compact size models, which weigh 2.5kg each, come built-in with a 7-watt speaker which the company says is loud good enough for a conference room.
The native resolution for the NP110 and NP115 are SVGA while for the NP210 and NP215 are XGA.
The NP215 comes with an integrated RJ45 port so that it could be connected to a LAN.
The NP215 and NP115 have a maximum brightness of 2,500 lumens while the NP110 and NP210 offer up to 2,200 lumens of brightness.
All models come with a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 and are powered by Texas Instruments DP engine to project clear and sharp images on the screen.
The projectors, which are designed for home and corporate users as well as schools, are expected to start shipping this month.
The retail price for the NP110 and NP115 are RM1,699 and RM1,999 respectively. As for the NP 210 and NP 215, they are expected to cost RM2,299 and RM2,599 respectively. — SUBASHINI SELVARATNAM
