A digital hub for the family
PETALING JAYA: The latest all-in-one (AIO) PC from Sony includes a 24in touchscren with multi-touch capability for easily accessing its many advanced functions.
The Vaio L VPCL118FG comes preinstalled with Media Gallery multimedia software which allows users to access photos, videos and music in a fun and intuitive way. Simply by touching the screen you can flip, pan, enlarge and rotate photos.
The AIO has a modern design, a polycarbonate frame and a sleek translucent look, and on top of that it’s light, strong and durable, the company said.
As its tiny footprint is a mere 19cm wide, the PC liberates desk space and curbs the clutter in a workplace or home.
The model also has a Blu-ray combo drive so users can watch HD movies and a built-in hybrid TV tuner for viewing free over-the-air TV programmes.
VPCL118FG has a pair of 5.5W integrated speakers and uses the S Master Digital Amplifier technology to deliver rich and clear sound.
The AIO also has an integrated webcam and microphone for video conferencing with friends and family. With the webcam’s Message Board feature, users can also take a picture, customise it with a handwritten message and post it onto the screen or send as an e-mail attachment.
The hardware specification includes an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E7500, 4GB of memory, 500GB hard disk and an nVidia GeForce G210M graphics processor. The machine runs on Windows 7 Home Premium edition.
In terms of connectivity, the AIO has both WiFi and Bluetooth.
