HP opens SME store

By STEFAN NAIDU

KUALA LUMPUR: Hewlett-Packard (HP) has opened a retail store catering to the needs of small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in Low Yat Plaza here.

“According to SME Corp, 99.2% of all local companies are SMEs and they constitute 35% of our current GDP,” said country general manager for HP’s personal systems group Danny Lee.

“We decided to open our first enterprise concept store in Low Yat Plaza so we can showcase our products in a convenient location.”

The HP Smart Office Solutions store is run by HP’s authorised reseller Atoz Computer Sdn Bhd and features professional laptops, printer/scanners and even mini-servers.

HP’s ProBook laptop series and ProLiant servers come with business-centric features such as a “spare key” password retrieval system, advanced diagnostic programs and a more comprehensive support system, the company said.

“We are also planning to open more Smart Office Solutions stores in major cities across the country in the near future,” Lee said.
