Software AG expands support centre
KUALA LUMPUR: Business infrastructure company Software AG has expanded its support centre in Malaysia.
There are now 25 support engineers, from 10, to service its customers in Asia Pacific and Japan at the centre.
It said the increase is due to rising interest in those regions for its webMethods suite that is designed to integrate and improve the efficiency of a company’s IT and business infrastructure.
The company set up its support centre in Malaysia after it acquired software company webMethods in 2007.
“We chose Malaysia because of the multilingual capabilities of the local populace,” said Software AG’s senior vice-president for Asia, Paul Henaghan. “Also, Malaysia is located centrally in the Asia Pacific region,” he added.
Software AG is Europe’s fourth largest software company and is based in Germany. It provides services and software for several local companies, including AmBank and DHL.
