PETALING JAYA: Small- and medium-sized business owners looking for affordable IT solutions may want to take a look at HP’s new ProBook 4410 notebooks.

At a glance, the ProBook 4410 is a stylish looking notebook with a matte and glossy surface.

On the side you’ll find an open and spacious keyboard with keys raised from the surface, making it easier to clean.

It has a 14in LED backlit display and a 16:9 aspect ratio so it offers a good amount of on screen space to work with, HP said.

Depending on the configuration, the notebook can have an Intel Celeron or Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Similarly, users have the option of adding from 1GB to 8GB of DDR2 RAM and users can also choose from a 160GB to 500GB 5400rpm SATA hard drive.

In terms of graphics, the ProBook 4410 comes with an integrated Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MD graphics processor.

Additionally, the integrated optical drive with Blu-ray option and HDMI port also makes it a great for watching HD movies after office hours.

HP has also included a number of add-on applications in its HP Quicklook 2 software suite, which now provides access to e-mail, calendar and tasks at a touch of a button without even powering on the notebook.

Another key feature on the ProBook is HP SpareKey, a saving feature for users who have forgotten their password, using a sequence of three predetermined personal questions to gain access to their system.

For added security, HP has included File Sanitizer, a tool that permanently deletes files, folders and personal information from a notebook.

Pricing for the new HP ProBook 4410 starts at RM1,899 for the basic model. — CHONG JINN XIUNG
